Grey Phalarope – August 2009

Following on from the previous post here’s some of the images of the Grey Phalarope taken last year.

These birds, there were three of them, never took to the shore but continued all afternoon to swim and spin down river, reaching a curve in the river then flying back up stream to start the whole cycle again. The Phalarope this year flew only when seriously disturbed by a dog or other birds.
