Caerphilly CCBC have asked me to run a series of seasonal walks which we are calling ‘Landscape and Wildlife Walks with a Camera’Â These walks are all free and offer a chance to explore the Upper Sirhowy Valley. It is an area I’ve photographed extensively through various commissions over the last few years and one I have come to love.
I was amazed that this little known part of the South Wales Valleys had so much to offer and to be given the chance to share it with others is something I jumped at. The walks, which vary in length from 6km to 8km, are guided by James Bower, who knows the area like the back of his hand. It is a chance to record the bird life we see and discuss and put into practice how to photograph the landscape. For more information click here.
